I’ve used SFF about 3 times in the past and never had any issues until tonight.

Bought reduced tickets to see Ed Sheeran tomorrow, only to have my tickets cancelled tonight at 8.30pm (20hrs notice). We had made travel arrangements and hotel arrangements for this. No explanation other than “circumstances beyond our control” and the promise to be “first on the list to receive our next great offer” (=the privilege of paying for an event that might not happen??).

It’s too late for me to buy full-price tickets, even if I wanted to, because the ticketmaster site doesn’t allow it. It’s extremely embarrassing to have to explain to my friends that this great deal I found has fallen through.

I will be much warier in the future, and would suggest any future customers do the same.

Never used this site before so thought I’d give it a try. Tickets didn’t arrive when they said and when I tried to contact them it was vm with the message so garbled I couldn’t hear the email address to contact them. Kept calling and after a twenty minute wait in a queue got through. A really snotty woman answered and tried to say it was my fault (“have you checked your spam folder?”) and spent the rest of the call saying it was nothing to do with them. She sent me a link which I couldn’t get through on. Finally went to the theatre an hour earlier than I wanted and got my tickets. This was a lot of palaver and worry over something that should have been simple.
Only gave one star because you have to give something otherwise you can’t proceed. Should have been zero stars. If you want peace of mind and certainty of tickets then DON’T USE THESE PEOPLE!!

Great company, i've managed to see some great films & shows that I would never of thought of going to before! They also do research screenings which are really fun to get involved with as you get to give feedback about the film etc & when the final release comes out you feel like you're a part of the process!

I joined Show Film First in 2014 and have loved every single second of being a member.

I've been to UK and World film Premiers with all the champagne, canapes and goody bags that come with that, I've attend film screenings in cinemas and top hotels - private screenings, advance screenings and some highly confidential research screenings (where film companies are still formulating what will work before the films final cut and release) all of which are great fun.

I particularly like the research screenings as some of us are asked to stay behind and give our thoughts on the film.

There's never any pressure to attend a certain quota of events like some of the newer, more inferior seat filling companies do. The only thing you are asked to do is give feedback usually 6 or so questions on your phone, sometimes a written questionnaire for research, nothing too taxing at all.

They've added theatre, magic shows and private music recitals and concerts to the membership in recent years which offer a much wider range than just films.

With SFF there is no pressure, just pure pleasure. . . and I always love it when their key event staff recognize me from one event to the next, as I am a firm fan.

Their online system is super efficient so it's even easier and quicker to book, put yourself on a waiting list or even cancel, all without drama or hassle.

Sometimes called See It First or See Film First in newspapers like the Telegraph or Guardian who sometimes offer films across the country by SFF, so keep and eye out.

I'd highly recommend being a member because the email to the most amazing events - film, theatre, recitals, shows - are too numerous to list and well worth being in on.
